Make a paradigm shift

Pardigm shift

"If you want to achieve your highest aspirations and overcome your greatest challenges, identify and apply the principle or natural law that governs the results you seek." - S. Covey

I am rereading Stephen Covey's book, "The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People"  and in his forward, which I skipped over the first time, he talks about the principle of personal stagnation.  Simply put, you have two choices in life.  One choice allows you to stagnate and the other leads you down the path of personal growth and development.   Your choices are what he calls deciding to follow the cultural tendency or choosing to follow the principled solution.  Cultural tendency is very similar to lemming like behavior in that you blindly go with the flow, even if it leads you over the edge of a cliff.  Principled solutions require you to break through the paradigm and find alternative solutions and a better way of doing things.   Cultural tendency and principled solutions stand in stark contrast to each other: Go with the flow and take the easy path at a future risk? Or... Break out of the common practices and thinking of our popular culture and find a better solution?   Lets take a look at Cultural tendency vs Principled Solution with regards to health: Cultural Tendency:  Maintain the typical American lifestyle and then treat the health problems that ensue with surgery and prescription medication Principled solution: Align your lifestyle to the universal principles of health by changing your diet and exercise habits and managing your stress levels in order to prevent chronic diseases from occurring. At KORE, one of our core values is empowering individual success.  We are committed to empowering our clients to take personal responsibility for their success.  We strive everyday to create a growth mindset within ourselves and our community and create a KORE culture where the tendency IS the principled solution.  And we will persist until we succeed!   So our goal for December is 100% KORE member participation in the 7-day Sugar Challenge Dec 14th-21st, so our question to you is, are you willing to empower yourself to break the paradigm of cultural tendency and apply a principled solution by joining us in our 7-day sugar challenge Dec 14th-21st? The cost?   Nothing except for a bit of sacrifice. The reward?  Priceless, and a change in your palate that will make it easier to continue the paradigm shift.
