How to do an inventory to learn how much protein you are consuming

Equipment needed:

  • Food scale (if possible) or measuring cups,

  • Food labels or food tracking software (like myfitnesspal) 

Time requirement:

  • The time needed to measure and or track the foods that are being consumed on that day.

Protein count Preparation: 

  • Protein count might be best collected by a food tracker like MyFitness Pal though you can certainly keep track with a pencil and paper using the nutritional facts.   

Protein count Instructions:  

  • Beginning with the first thing you put in your mouth in the morning, and ending with the last thing you eat at night, jot down every gram of protein you consume throughout the day (don’t forget that protein can be found in vegetables, legumes, nuts & seeds,. 

  • Add up the numbers to get your total score.

  • Record your total score
