Meal Planning -the benefits.
Written by Elise Matthews
I get a lot of questions about meal planning that I wanted to spend some time addressing.
First of all there are a lot of benefits to meal planning that make this month of work you are about to do truly worth the effort.
Some of the other benefits include:
Saving yourself a lot of time each week
Reducing the amount of food that goes to waste in your house
Eliminating the stress of having to come up with dinner at the last minute
Saving a lot of money by not doing the “I didn’t plan for dinner so lets just eat out” routine
Avoiding a lot of unhealthy food decisions either by having a meal to eat at home or not doing the “I’m tired, we’ll just do a frozen pizza tonight” routine
Getting rid of repeat boredom and increasing your dinner variety
And possibly even managing portions better by having a plan to save half of your meal for lunch the next day.
When it comes to meal planning there are a couple simple things to think about that will make your planning and prep much easier (and less expensive!). We’re going to start breaking down the steps to effective meal planning next week.
